My research experiences have allowed me to explore questions across molecular biology, public health, pharmaceuticals, archaeology, and materials science. I am especially interested in work that connects rigorous analysis with real-world applications in health and human well-being.
Paper Title: The Red, Etched Stones from Ancient Caesarea: Copies or Trade?
Worked with FTIR, spectral preprocessing/analysis, including second-derivative methods, to improve comparison of overlapping spectral features.
Applied Pearson and Spearman correlation approaches and statistical significance testing to large spectral datasets.
Investigated trade and provenance questions involving archaeological beads from sites such as Oman/Al Baleed and Caesarea Maritima, including possible South Asian connections through historic Red Sea and Persian Gulf trade networks.
Presented at MIT URTC 2026
Conducted computational breast cancer research focused on identifying low-cost biomarkers for early detection and survival analysis using machine-learning and metaheuristic methods.
Applied feature-selection techniques, genomic data analysis, and predictive modeling to identify biomarkers with potential relevance to breast cancer detection.
Presented the research, “A Metaheuristic ML-Based Approach for Identifying the Low-Cost Biomarkers for Breast Cancer Detection with Survival Analysis,” at ICSSIT 2026 on May 6, 2026.
Combine research with community-based initiatives focused on expanding access to preventive healthcare and cancer screening.
