Hi! I'm Thapati Chinthapatla, a senior at Hightstown High School in New Jersey.
As the founder of Spoorthi, a nonprofit that has raised over $250,000, I work with my team to expand access to healthcare and education for underserved communities in India. As New Jersey State Youth President of VTSeva, I lead over 100 volunteers in organizing cancer-screening initiatives and educational programs. To me, a world where healthcare, education, and opportunity depend on circumstance is simply unacceptable.
Beyond community service, I'm passionate about scientific research. I've explored affordable biomarkers for breast cancer and leukemia through machine learning, published research through IEEE, and presented my archaeology research at MIT's Undergraduate Research Technology Conference.
At school, I serve as Student Body President and marching band's Flute Captain. Outside the classroom, I'm a Carnatic vocalist and instructor, theater enthusiast, and avid Formula 1 fan. When I'm not researching or teaching music, you'll probably find me learning a new language or rewatching Kung Fu Panda.
I believe healthcare should be accessible to everyone, regardless of background. Come join me in making that vision a reality!
I'd love to hear from you!
